Imagery Analysis of Andi Weir”s Artemis

The aim of this research is to find the types of imagery and to identify the kinds of imagery in the Novel. The researcher used the theory of Kenney to find the types of imagery and to identify the kinds of imagery such as literal images, recurrent images, figurative images, and symbols. The data were analyzed used a descriptive gualitative method to find and to identify the types of imagery in the Novels. The result of this research, the researcher found that there are 74 data found in the types of imagery, the data are: 27 data found in literal images, 14 data found in recurrent images, 17 data found in figurative images, and 17 data found in symbols. Therefore, the researcher concluded all the types of imagery can be found in this novel by using the theory of Kenney.
