This research discussed about the character and characterization of the main character in the movie “Words on Bathroom Walls,” which aims to analyze the changes of the main character which caused by mental illness namely schizophrenia. The data were analyzed by using descriptive gualitative method. The researcher has concluded about the characterization of the main character in the movie Words on Bathroom Walls. In this research, the instrument used by observing some of previous researches and theories of character which are supporting the research. From this instrument, the researcher watched the movie and read the script of the movie and identified the 22 data had found, consists of the changes of character”s nature, environment, emotions, desire, and instinct, experienced by the main character from good become bad character and vice versa. This film also tells us, that every suffers and temptations does not always take a negative effect but also provides valuable lesson, grace, and wisdom that we can learn. However, the researcher hopes this research can contribute to education as an analysis of literary work, especially for students of English and Literature Department.
