Syntactical Analysis of Code Mixing in Greatmind Small Talk Used by Dian Paramita Sastrowardoyo and Marissa Anita
This study aims to determine and analyze the syntactical of code mixing in Greatmind Small Talk used by Dian Paramita Sastrowardoyo and Marissa Anita. The obeject of this study is to find out the types of code mixing used by Dian Paramita Sastrowardoyo and Marissa Anita. Code mixing is when speakers employ both languages simultaneously to the point that they switch from one to the other within a single phrase. This research is conduct using a gualitative descriptive method and analyzed using a Hoffman theory, it is the types of code mixing, namely intra-sentential, intra-lexical, and involving a change of pronunciation. The result of this study indicates that there are 120 data code mixing utterances by the speaker. 109 data are categorized into intra-sentential and 11 data are categorized into intra-lexical. There is no data found as involving a change of pronunciation.
