Discourse Analysis Features of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

This research discussed about Discourse analysis features of the tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon. This research focused on finding the types of flouting maxim and reason flouting maxim from the video Taylor Swift's 10-minutes version of All too well almost wasn't recorded. The data were analyzed using descriptive gualitative method. The theory that used in this research were theory of grice (1975) and reason flouting maxim of by Thomas (1995). The main instrument of the research is note-taking. The finding showed three types of flouting maxim,(flouting maxim guantity, guality, and relevance). There are reason floutimg maxim found they are to explain more about something, to stress something, to expect something, to convince the addresse, to cover something something, and to avoid talking about something.
