The Deviant Behavior in Kevin Kwan's Rich People Problems
This study is about Kevin's Rich People Problems and behavior that focused attention on the study. The purpose of this study is to explain the causes of the deviant behavior carried out by the character Edison “Eddie” Cheng in the novel Rich People Problem. In the study of the novel researcher used gualitative descriptive methods. Data were analyzed using differential association theories by Edwin H. Sutherland. From the research results 18 data were found which indicate an aberration of behavior and classified into normative and differential association process performed by Eddie cheng was performed to obtain the property of his grandmother to make himself rich and egual to his other relatives. Different family backgrounds create conflicting norms that make Eddie commit deviant behavior.
