Spiritual Identity of the Main Character in Paulo Coelho's Adultery (2014)

The research is about spiritual identity development of the main character in Adultery(2014). The object of this research is the novel Adultery by Paulo Coelho. This novel shows the life of a women named Linda who have crisis in her live during the searching of the essence of life. The purpose of this study is to analyze the transformation of Linda Spiritual Identity. This research was descriptive gualitative method using the study spiritual identity classification phases that focus on main character. The result of this study shows that the spiritual identity of Linda experience three phases according to phases by Kiesling. There are foreclosed phase, moratorium phase, and achived phase.
