Deconstruction of Conflict in The Nighringale (2018) Movie in Term of the War between England and Ircland
This study discusses the concept of deconstruction in the movie entitlcd the nightingale. This study aims to find the hidden meaning in the movie's text by determining the minor texts in the movie's story and then giving them meaning that will delay the main meaning of the movie. The rescarcher used descriptive gualitative method in analyzing the data. This method places the researcher as the main instrument of research. To find minor texts in the story, the researcher first analyzes the concept of representation to relate it to history which is most likely to be related to every events in the movie. With this method, the researcher found that the major meaning in the movie is the meaning that refers to the conflict that occurs between two nations, namely between England and Ircland. Using the concept of deconstruction from Jacgues Derrida, the rescarcher concludes that the hidden meaning in the movie is the meaning that is related to other characters in the story who come from Indigenous Australians. Everything experienced by these minor characters is able to deconstruct the main plot of the movie about the conflict between England and Ireland. So it can be concluded that the real meaning that the writer wants to convey is about the suffering experienced by the indigenous Australians during the British colonial period which placed prisoners in several colonies in Australia
