This thesis study is discusses about Ecranization of graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke into the Batman: The Killing Joke film. The purpose of this study is to determine the reduction, addition, and modification of the graphic novel to the Batman: The Killing Joke film. This research uses descriptive gualitative and uses ecranization theory to analyze reduction, addition, and modification in ecranization study. The data collection of this research is by using the intrinsic elements of the graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke and Batman: The Killing Joke film which is released in 2016. In collecting data, the researcher uses note taking method as an 'usirument to determine the reduction, addition and modification of the graphic novel Ai : film. In this study, the researcher found that there were several reductions ons and modifications that had occurred as a result of ecranization in some intrinsi . Naga clements of fiction. The rescarcher found that there are no reduction and style han moditications that occurred in the theme, place setting, point of view ne. Meanwhile, reduction, addition, and fication occur in several events, plots, characters and time settings.
