Environmental Issue In “Don't Look Up” Mov
This study aims to analyze the film “Don't Look Up” using Greg Garrard's ecocritical approach. This approach is used to understand the causes of natural destruction represented in the movie. Besides, the researcher elaborated the results of this study by using a gualitative descriptive method. As a result, the researcher found that there were three factors causing natural damage. The three factors include: lack of appropriate response, politics and self interest, and ineffective policies. Meanwhile the researcher also found fourenvironmental criticism, including: human ignorance to the destruction of nature, media sensation, political influence and personal interests, and ignoring sustainability and ecosystems. Finally, the researcher concluded that environmental conditions will directly affect the human condition. Therefore, it is appropriate for us as humans to protect this earth from natural destruction.
