Power and Ideology in Anthony Doerr's Al/ The Light We Cannot See (New Historicism)
This study aims to describe the traces of German history in the novel All The Light We Cannot See, this novel by Anthony Doerr is analyzed using New Historicism, in which non-literary texts are drawn to understand the literary text being analyzed. The research procedures included: parallel reading technigues, namely reading the novel and non-literary texts simultaneously, analysis, as shown in the presentation of data and discussion, involved parallel reading where the events in the novel took place. Highlighted and linked to non-literary texts, and draw conclusions based on an analysis of historical facts contained in the novel, which have been matched with non-literary texts with similar topics.
