Mother Affection Portrayed in Picture Book “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch

This research aims to find out the mother affection portrayed in children picture book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch using structuralism approach.
The research method used in this study is a gualitative method, and the data was obtained through literary review and other sources. The main data were analyzed mostly focuses on the plot and illustration from the book. The steps involved in gathering data are reading, taking notes, categorizing, underlining, and drawing conclusions.
From data finding and discussion, the writer found out that the motherly affection reflected in the picture book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch is a direct verbal affection. The affection of mother has not only reflected through her action and motives, but also reflected in the boy's behavior as he gets older. The amount of affection he received from his mother ever since he was a kid develops his good deeds. Therefore, he turns out to be a responsible and mentally well -being man.
