Language Style Used by Fiki Naki YouTube Videos
This research aims to determine the types of language styles used in Fiki Naki's YouTube videos by applying Martin Joos (1967) theory. Joos identified five types of language styles: frozen, formal, consultative, casual, and intimate. The research methodology employed is descriptive gualitative method. The study identified instances of formal style, consultative style, and casual style in twentyeight (28) interactions involving Fiki Naki utterances and his interlocutor. The results indicate the presence of four (4) data of formal style, sixteen (16) data of consultative style, and eight (8) data of casual style. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the consultative style is the most freguently used style by Fiki Naki.
