This research discusses actants and functional structures in the film "Captain Fantastic" (2016). The researcher describes the actantial scheme and functional structure in the film "Captain Fantastic" (2016). The focus of the analysis was on the narrative elements derived from the dialogue between characters in the film and the film script. This research was analyzed using the theory of reflection in the actuarial model theory from the book "Structural Semantics" by A.J. Greimas, with data analysis conducted using gualitative methods by analyzing the six actants in the film "Captain Fantastic," as well as the final situation. The research findings indicated insights into the main and supporting conflicts in the film. The study also identified actantial schemes for two different conflicts. In the main conflict, the researcher found that the subject is Ben Cash, the object is Leslie Corpse, the sender is Leslie, the receiver is Ben Cash's family, the helper is Ben Cash's children, and the opponent is Jack and Harper. Meanwhile, in the supporting conflict, it was found that the sender is Bodevan, the object is formal education, the subject is Bodevan. the helper is Leslie, the receiver is Bodevan, and the opponent is Ben Cash. Functional structure was also identified, including the initial situation, competence test stage, main stage, and climax stage, for both conflicts in the film "Captain Fantastic" (2016). Through this research, it is hoped that it can clarify for the audience of the film Captain Fantastic, the details that influence the entire film which forms one complete story.
