Dialogism In “Don't Look Up” Movie 2021

This research aims to investigate the way dialogism is depicted through character interactions and conflicts in the “Don't look up” movie by Adam McKey. The objective of this research is to discover the dialogism in the “Don't look up” movie 2021. The theory used in this research is a dialogism theory by Mikhail Bakhtin. The method used in this research was a descriptive gualitative method. The researcher found that dialogism in “Don't look up” movie depicted the existence of a two-power struggle between scientists and government, opposed political interests and a rejection scientist fact. The conclusion of this research is dialogism in the movie “Don't look up” strengthen elements of conflict and increase tension. Dialogism allows for different views and goals between interacting characters, building tension and depicting the existence of power, political interest and scientists' facts that are sidelined in the movie “Don't look
