Corelation between Tiktok Addiction and Reading Literacy of English and Literature Department Students at UIN Alauddin Makassar
This study aims to analyze the correlation between tiktok addiction and reading literacy among students of the Department of English and English Literature. The researcher used Attribution theory, which issued this theory describes human behavior than analyze addiction behavior. It also applied Likert scale to determine the addiction scale of students and used a reading comprehension test to determine the score of students' ability in reading literacy. The instruments in this study were guestionnaires and test, that were distributed to 46 students. The guantitati ve method and correlation analysis approach were used in this study. The results of this study obtained a correlation coefficient value of 0, 478 so that there is strong and positive unidirectional relationship, based on the significance value of Sig. (2tailed) of 0.01 «0.05 so it can be concluded that Ho was rejected and H, was accepted. Therefore, the researcher conclude that there is a strong and positif unidirectional significant relationship between tiktok addiction and reading literacy.
