Dysphemism Used In Deadpool 2 Movie (2018)

This research was aimed at analyzing the types and the function dysphemism used in Deadpool 2 movie The study was used descriptive qualitative method and used note taking which were taken from words spoken by the character in Deadpool 2 movie. The research identified six forms of dysphemism in Deadpool 2. Findings revealed there are six types of dysphemism the list includes synecdoche,
dysphemism ephitets, dyphemism euphemism, ‘’IST’’ dysphemism, name
dysphemism. with “dysphemism euphemism” was the most common type used by
the character in this study. Additionally, six functions of dysphemism found.
Humiliating other, to show anger, emphasizing something or state, to show
closeness in friendship, and to stating and representing very bad thing, to express
amazement or astonishment. The function showing anger was the most common
function used by the character in this study
