The main purpose of this research is to discuss competitive jargon at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022. This research aims to find out what forms of jargon are used in PMGC and what the functions of jargon are. This research focuses on Halligan's theory of the form of jargon and the function of jargon by Brown and Attardo. In analyzing the data, this research mainly uses the descriptive analysis method as a reference to analyze the subject. As a result, the findings show that there are four forms of jargon &ccording to Halligan's theory: acronyms, abbreviations, words, and phrases. Within the function of jargon according to Brown and Attardo's theory, two functions of jargon were identified. The first function is that jargon provides special domain speakers with clear and unambiguous terms to refer to their activities. In this function, jargon is used to provide specific terms related to the game, such as commands, instructions, or player movements during gameplay. By using these specific terms, it indicates to the listeners that they are referring to particular aspects found within the PUBG Mobile jargon. The second function is that jargon provides speakers for subgroups by marking group membership and excluding outsiders. In this function, jargon is used to facilitate easy and effective communication among players during the game.
