Slip Of The Tongue Speech Production Of English And Literature Students In Presentation (Case Study In Seminar Proposal Examination)
This research was aimed at analyzing the types of Slip of the tongue made by English and Literature department students who conduct seminar proposal examinations and to discover the influential factors affecting the students to make
Slip of the tongue when conducting seminar proposal presentations. This research used qualitative descriptive method and used a recording which was taken from the
process of mass seminar proposal presentation of students of English and Literature
department. Finding revealed six out of eight types of slips of the tongue, with “addition” was the most common type. Additionally, analysis of interview data highlights cognitive load as significant factor influencing students’ slip of the tongue, categorized into intrinsic, extraneous, and germane cognitive load.
