Adaptation of Mulan Story In Disney Movie 2020

This research is intended to explain the changes in plot, character, and
setting in the 2020 live-action movie adaptation of Mulan. The data source in
this research is the 1998 animated movie Mulan which was adapted into the
2020 live-action movie Mulan. This research uses descriptive qualitative
research methods and adaptation theory by Linda Hutcheon to analyze the
data. The results show that this adaptation research occurs in the plot,
character, and setting. This happens because there is a story in the animation
that is indirectly shown in the movie. As for other changes in intrinsic
elements, they are also found in the movie.
