Environmental pollution is not a new phenomenon, yet it remains the biggest global
problem facing humanity. The imbalance between living things and the
environment leads to environmental crisis or degradation. In other words, if one
living thing is damaged, then other living things will also be affected. Every day,
the environment is an important part of society, and it is important to preserve it to
keep all living things healthy. The animated movie “WALL-E” (2008) by Pixar

pollution and overconsumption. This research discusses a movie where a small

damage is depicted in the film and the main character's efforts in dealing with
environmental pollution depicted in the movie. To deal with environmental
pollution depicted in the movie “WALL-E”. This research uses ecocritical theory
from Greg Garrard and with descriptive qualitative research methods and note-
taking as an instrument. This research was conducted to increase and provide
awareness to the audience of the importance of preserving and maintaining the
environment around us. The results of this study show that the movie “WALL-E” is
not only a means of entertainment but also an educational tool that educates the
audience on the importance of preserving the environment. The movie “WALL-E”

action to overcome the world's ecological crisis. From this, environmental
awareness can educate and become a solution to the public about the negative
impact of excessive consumerism and the importance of reducing the consumption
