The use of personal pronouns in english and arabic (a contrastive study)
the result of this simple search have shown that the function of both personal pronouns have similarities and differences. the personal pronouns in english can indicate the first person, second person, and the third person which is similar to arabic. in which personal pronouns can indicate mutakallim (the speaker), mukhatab (the person spoken to) and ghaib (the person spoken of. on the other hand, there are some differences both of them. in arabic it's known singular, dual, and plural. while in english only two forms, singular and plural.
