in this research, the writer found that there are two factors influencing students' motivation of Pondok Madina boarding school Makassar to use English and arabic, they are: intrinsic factor and extrinsic factor. the intrinsic factor of bilingualsim are five, those are physical condition, method, teacher, and success. while extrinsic factor consist of four factor, those are integrative, instrumental,punishment, and parents/peer factor. the research showed that extrinsic factor are higher factor than the intrinsic factors that influence the students' motivation of Pondok Madina boarding school to use english and arabic.
