Vocabulary mastery of the third year students of the state islamic senior high school (MAN) at Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto

The result of data analysis showed that the third year students of MAN Binamu Jeneponto regency have good achievement to use or master vocabulary in sentences. the mean scores of the students obtained through the objective test is 6.65. this score is calssified as a "fairly good score". While the result on each items concluded that the students still find difficulties in learning english vocabulary, that is : 1) the students have insufficient knoledge about vocabulary; 2) they are lock of the structure mainly tenses; 3) the are lack learning facility such english books; 4) the meaning of vocabulary does not always have one meaning; 5) the are low mitivition in memorizing vocabulary; 6) the students difficult to pronounce the vocabulary.
