Denotative and Connotative Mainings in Masha and The Bear Cartoon Movie ( A Semiotic Analysis )

This research discussed about Denotative and Connotative meanings in Masha and The Bear Cartoon Movie ( A Semiotic Analysis ) which aimed to describe the meanings and the function of denotative and connotative. This research based on Roland Barthes theory about Semoitics. This research was descriptive qualitative method. The researchr actually used note taking as the instrument in order to get the valid data. The findings showed that there were several meanings and function of connotation meanings that dominant in the movi. The researcher concluded that the types of connotation meanings that dominant in the movi was Allusive meanings which consists of invoking the meaning in which as the expression figures. The researcher also found that the function of denotative and connotative is the massages that can be found in the movie of Masha and the Bear
