The Trauma Of Prince Albert in David Seidler’s Movie “The King’s Speech”
This research aimed to find out the internal aspects that cause Prince Albert’s trauma in the movie “The King’s Speech” and the internal effects of Prince Albert’s trauma. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data was the “The King’s Speech” movie by David Seidler and related script with 90 pages which was published in 2010 by using note taking as the theory of trauma by Van Der Kolk (1989). The finding of this research, the writer found that there are many causes of Prince Albert’s trauma in the movie “The King’s Speech”, they are physical abuse, emotional neglect. Furthermore, the writer found the effects of Prince Albert trauma in the “The King’s Speech” movie are: mood swings, anxiety, depression, and dissociation
