The meaning of the Ritual in Accera Kalempoang
This research discussed about The Meaning of the Ritual in Accera Kalompoang which still exist around the society in Gowa Regerency, South Sulawesi. This research aimed to know the implicit meaning that contained in the ritual Accera Kalompoang from four imformants. Thus research focused on pierce’s theory about triangle elements of semiotic. Then, the data were analyzed using qualitative method. The research used guiding book of Accera Kalompoang, obsevation sheet, interview guide as the instruments to find out the valid data. The findings showed that there were 14 signs in the these ritual srarted alleka je’ne there, ammolong tedong, appidalleki, and allangiri kalompoang. In alleka je’ne there were four signs, ammolong tedong there where four signs, appidalleki there were there signs, and allaringi kalompoang there were three signs. The reseacrher concluded that the implicit meaning in Accera Kalompoang became the reverence to the ancestors, slaughter the bufallo to complete the offerings and materials banquet for guests, pray to Allah and ancesrors and ask the blessing, and purification or eleaning the heirlooms
