Cultural conflict in intercultural communication in “pk” movie by rajkumar hirani (sociological approach)

This research discussed about the components of and cultural conflict found in “PK” movie by Rajkumar Hirani wich aimed to find out the components of culture and cultural conflict in “PK” movie. This research based on Kennedy and Manohar’s theory about cultural conflict. The researcher applied qualitative method which used note taking as the instruments in order to find out the valid data. The findings showed that there were three kinds of components of culture in “PK” movie, they were language, religion/belief, and norms. The researcher also foud the kind of cultural conflict, they were interpersonal conflict, conflict between individuals, conflict between groups and the conflict organization. The recearcher concluded that the components of culture and the cultural conflict that foud in “PK” movie had important role in shaping up of the culture and the culture that happened in social interaction because of the different method and perception
