Gesture of Main Character as Seen in “Carrie” ( 2013 ) Film

This research tried to discuss about the Gesture of Main Character as Seen in Carrie film 2013. This research aimed to find out types of american gesture main character and the gesture responded by other characters in Carrie film. This research focused on Toastmaster and McNeill theory about American Gesture. Thus, the data were analyzed using qualitative method. The researcher used note taking as the instrument to find out valid data. The research showed that there were four types ( descriptive, emphatic, suggestive, and prompting ) and there responses of American gesture ( descriptive, suggestive, and prompting). The researcher concluded that descriptive and suggestive gesture bith types and responses mostly used in that Carrie film
