Jargon Used by Dental Nurse in Purnama Dental Clinic [Sociolinguistic Approach]

This reseach discussed about Jargon which was used by Dental Nurse in Purnama Dental Clinic.This sesearch aimed to identify and describe about the forms of Jargon which focused on Halligan the about Jargon forms that were divided into four forms.they are:acronym,abbreviation,word,and phrase.The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative method.The researcher then used observation sheet and interview sheet as the instrument to find out the valid data.The findings showed that dentalnurse in Purnama dental clinic used 37 jargon when they provided dental treatmen.Thus,acronym was datum,abbreviation was 3 data,word was 22data,and phrase was 13 data.The researcher concluded that word places were the most frequently appeared because some jagons were constituted from word.Therefore,the use of word in communication was more effective in thir dailyactivity in providing dental treatmen
