This thesis is about gender equality in the film “the iron lady. This thesis anims to analyze the gender ideology dominant which presented to gain gender equality in film “the iron lady” . the research used gender approach to find out the gender equality . the sources of data from the film of “the iron lady “ . the research used note talking in collection data. The result of the research shows that dominant of gender ideology which presented is ideology feminism and the gender ideology supported in the communicative action are about ideas of main character which are Margaret teatcher wants to made a good economy, she wants to build a small and big business and be a good economy, she wants to change system of trade union in british, she wants to resolve the problem about the faikland island and the last idea is she wants to attack argentna to get back the faikland island from argentina and she he leader of the war to attack argentina the ideas show that a woman has equality with men
