The research was about dominant ideology which aimed to analyze the hegemonic character and the kinds of ideology in the "Red Queen" novel. the data source based on the sentence which contained the portrait of hegemony and ideology. The researcher focused on Gramsci's theory about hegemony and ideology. This research applied descriptive qualitative method. The researcher user note taking as the instrument to reveal the valid data.
