this research discusses romanticism in Veronica Roth's Novel "Insurgent". this research aims to know characteristics of romanticism of "insurgent". in order to find the characteristic of romanticism in the novel "insurgent", the researcer used a qualitative method to analyze chapter by chapter then the rresearch took all the sentences which may the characteristics of romanticism. the purpose of this research is to prove that romanticism is not only about the relation between man and woman, but also nature, sentimentalism, and exoticism. as conclusion of this research. researcer found that there are tree characteristic of romanticism those are back to nature, sentimentalism, and exoticism.
