this research discusses the audience response of racism toward hidden figures movie using reader response theory. the data were analyze by using interpretative qualitative method. the researcher used interviewed guide as thye instrument to find out the valid data. the researcher found that the response of audience. the research was hidden figures is varied seeing from the response of audience. the research was conduced in order to give the reader information about the response of racism in hidde figures. the findings show that response of audience classified by louise thursone divides response into two categories : positive and negative response.
