Internal Conflict of the main character Of Wilson's Fences

This research discussed about internal conflict on Fences Drama manuscript. This research was conducted in order to give more knowledge about the importence of internal conflict in literary work. This research focused on analyzing internal conflict by using theory of internal conflict by Alex Sobur. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative method.
The main instrument of the research is the researcher himself who noted every necessary data requiered in order to complete the research. The findings showed that were totally three types of internal conflict on Fences drama manuscript, they are approach-approach conflict, approach-avoidance conflict, and avoidance-avoidance conflict. There are four factors that caused the conflict, the are: Aggression, Loss, Personality, and powerlessness.
