The author's Worldview in Jack London's The call of The Wild
This research discussed about the genetic structuralism in The call of the Wild Novel by Jack London which aimed to find the way of author's world view. This research based on Lucien Goldmann's theory of genetic structuralism which not only referred to intrinsic elements but also it discussed about the extrinsic elements. The research applied qualitative method. The researcher used note taking as the instrument to reveal the valid data. The findings showed that the economic system of capitalism can be found in the Klondike Gold Rush that portray the cruelty of economic competition. The researcher concluded that the author described the social conditions of society that cannot separated from his life's hard journey.
