Comparative analysis of turn taking strategies used by female and male guest starts in Zach Sang show

As the result, the findings shows that there are three types of turn taking such as Taking the turn, Holding the turn, and Yielding the turn have been founded 97 data mentioned by male and female guest stars. 71 data indicate taking the turn strategy, 18 data indicate holding the turn strategy, and 8 data for yielding the turn. For Taking the turn there are 4 classification namely, starting up, taking over, interruption, and overlapping. For holding the turn there are 3 classification namely, silent pause, repetition, and new start. For yielding the turn there are 3 classification namely, prompting, appealing, and giving up. In findings also shows the differences and the similarities in using turn taking strategies, the use of turn taking is depending on the topic and the personality of the guest stars.
