The Life Struggle of the Main Character in the "The Martian" Movie (Structuralism Study)

This research discussed about the life of the main character which tried to describe the struggle portrayal to survive in "The Martian" movie. This research based on rwin's theory about the struggle. This research applied descriptive qualitative method to reveal the valid data. The researcher also applied note taking as the instrument. The findings showed that Mark Watney as a main character survive in three ways, they are struggles through the Natural Conditions of Life. Other Species. and Members of One's Own Species. The researcher concluded the struggle in this movie told about how we can survive in any other situation.
