This study aims to measure the vocabulary size of the students English and literature departement. The seventh semester students of english and literature departement are expected to be able to understand and use vocabulary in four levels, namely : Hight frequency words, academic words, technical word and low frequency word. This research was conducted based on a descriptive qualitative. This methode aims to describe the ability of thr seventh semester students of English and literature departement in mastery of vocabulary.
