The Relation between Human and Nature Based on the overstory (2018) Novel Written By richard power : an ecofeminist analysis

This study aims to describe the description of the main characters in the novel Overstory and their relationship with trees. This description is viewed from the study of ecofeminism according to Vandana Shiva's theory.
Ecofeminism is a branch of feminism that explains the relationship between nature and human, especially those that are the focal point of natural or environmental damage that directly relates to women's oppression. In Shiva's perspective, women and nature are often disadvantaged as a result of the pattern of relations developed by the patriarchal capitalist system. The method used in this qualitative research is the descriptive method with content analysis. From this research will be obtained an overview of how the role of characters in protecting nature from several aspects based on the novel Overstory by Richard Power.
