Factors of morphological error produced by the fifth semester student in travel writing
This research discussed Factors of Morphological Error Produced by the Fifth Semester Students in Travel Writing which aimed to find out the types of morphological errors in students” travel writing and the factors affecting t. The data of this research were collected from the travel writing documents that were produced by fifth-semester students of AG 1-2 class in 2017/2018 academic year of Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar. Those travel wnting documents were produced as a final assignment of English for Tourism course. This research was analyzed based on Dulay's theory and Keshavarz's theory. This research used the descriptive gualitative method. In analyzing the data, tims research used note-taking as the instruments of research. The results of this research showed that the most dominant error produced by the students was omission error. Meanwhile, this research found some factors of errors, such as interlingual factor and intralingual as the most dominant factor was found which consists of overgeneralization, ignorance of rule restriction, false analogy, hyperextension, and faulty categorization. Moreover, the interview results showed an error caused by teacher-induced error.
