The semiotic analysis of the book by Naela Ali
This study was designed to describe the kind of sign-in Naela Al''s illustranon works. The main purpose of this research is to discuss semiotic and to find out the kind of sign the illustrator wants to convey in the illustration of the book Stones of Rainy Days. Oualitative descriptive research with material objects in the form of colors, illustrations, layout, and typography as well as formal objects that have kind in Naela Ali's work that can be studied using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiorc theory using icon, index, and symbol. The results showed that analysis of Naela Ali's illustrated works is seen from the study of semiotics. Stones for Rainy Days has 3 volumes of books, the contents are also full color and tell life about romance. The illustration objects used vary depending on the background of the story and characterizations, such as human objects, animals, plants, and objects. From the analysis that has been done, Naela's illustrative works always show a relationship or relation between signs. icons, indexes, and symbols both in color, shape, and context always explain the meaning contained in each work.
