Family conflict in coco's movie

This research aims to analyze the family conflict portrayed in coco”s movie. The object of this research is coco's movie script by Adrian Molina. The researcher used the descriptive gualitative method to show the family conflict in the movie and to describe the factors causing it. The instrument of this research used note taking technigue by reading the movie script and then making some notes to find the family conflict in the movie script. The data analysis technigue in this research was always linked to the theory, concept, and method based on sociology of literature by Swingewood and Laurenson's theory and ethnicity by Michael Ryan's theory. The result of this research shows that there are 4 factors causing family conflict and affect the cultures. The first conflict is economic factors, the second conflict is social factors, next is cultural factors and the last is political factors. Every problem shows family conflict that happened in culture that exist in society. Therefore, people can learn from the story and imagine what we should do after having family.
