Racial Discrimination in Harper lee's Gpset a watchman
This thesis is about racial discrimination in Harper Lees Go Set a Watchman. This research aims to find out the kinds and causes of racial discrimination that occurred in the novel "Go Set a Watchman" by Harper Lee. The method used in this research is a gualitative descriptive method. Based on the
results of the data analysis, the researcher found that there are three kinds of racial discrimination, namely individual discrimination, institutional discrimination, and Structural discrimination. The conclusion is that people in Maycomb County who get privileges are only whites, in contrast to blacks, they are always viewed as contemptible and lazy. The implication of this research is for further researchers who are interested in this novel to analyze it with a different theory to find other aspects besides racial discrimination because this novel is exciting to analyze.
