This thesis is entitied “Application of Information Technology in the Processing Section of Scientific Work at the Utsman Bin Affan Library, Indonesian Muslim University Makassar. The background of the problem in this thesis is how the description, effectiveness and efficiency of the application of the SLIMS application in the Utsman Bin Affan Library are described. This study aims to find out how the Application of Information Technology in the Processing Section of Scientific Work at the Utsman Bin Affan Library, Indonesian Muslim University Makassar. The type of research used is gualitative research which provides an overview. Data collection technigues used primary data by conducting direct observations and interviews in the field and secondary data through library data. The data analysis used Is deductive data analysis and inductive data analysis. The results of the study show that using the SLIMS application librarians can be helped in managing data guickly, precisely and accurately. The SLIMS application program is very effective and efficient to use, it looks simple but the components are Very complete and can cover the entire description of a collection of scientific papers.
