Euphemism Used In Britain's Got Talent Audition
This research discussed about Euphemism Used in Britain's Got Talent Audition. This research focused on finding the types of Euphemism and the function of Euphemism that used by the judges and the contestant of Britain's Got Talent from season 129 and 139, The data were analyzed using descriptive gualitative method. The theory that used in this research were theory and function of Euphemism by Allan and Burridge (1991). The main instrument of the research is Note-Taking. The findings showed several types of Euphemism they were Figurative expression, Flippancy, Acronym, Hyperbole, Understatement, and General Colloguial items. There are two functions of Euphemism found they are to prevent an offensive language (protective cuphemism), and to amuse and entertain (the ludic euphemism).
