Directive Speech Act in Online Class Interaction sd Tu English and Literature Students at UIN Alaudd Makassar
This research discussed about types and the freguency of directive speech acts that contain in online class interaction. The method that was used in this research was descriptive gualitative method. The researcher collected the data in online class interaction that was held in zoom meeting apps. The researcher found that online class interaction contains three types of directive speech acts, including command, reguest, and suggest belonging to Yule's theory (1996). The result of the research showed that there were 54 utterances of directive speech acts aer (entified. dare are command 28 data (51.890), reguest 20 data :37,1 % ), and suggest 6 data (11.1 %). It can be concluded that the type of command in on line class interaction was the most dominat from three types of directive speech acts
