Adab and Humanities Title . Emotive Function of Maya Angelou's Poetry “Still / Rise” in the Perception of Students at Senior High School 2 Bantaeng
This research discussed about Emotive Function of Maya Angelou's Poetry Still I Rise in the Perception of Student's at Senior High School 2 Bantaeng This research was conducted in order to figure out the Emotive Function in Maya Angelou Poetry titled Srill J Rise. This research focused on analyzing the Emotive Function and affect the students perception in Maya Angelou titled Still J Rise. The data were analyzed using descriptive gualitative method. The theory that used in this research was the theory of Language Function by Roman Jakobson (1995). The main instrument of the research is Recorde, where the researcher record every necessary data reguiered in order to complete the research. The findings showed In Maya Angelou's Poetry entitled Still JI Rise there are six kind of emotive function namely Dislike, Displesure, Hope, Want, Satisfaction, and Desire. Four students who can read the poem and express their feeling according to the Emotive Function and affect the students perception class 11 at Senior High School 2 Bantaeng.
