Language Style in Slogans of Covid-19 in Social Media
This research discussed language style and the aim was to find out the types of language style used in slogans of Covid-19 in Social Media focused on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Official Website, and Pinterest. The researcher applied Mc.Crimmon's theory which discussed about types of language style. The data were analyzed using a descriptive gualitative approach to classify the types of language style. The findings show that there are two styles used in slogans of Covid-19 to deliver message. They are informal style and colloguial style. Overall, colloguial style more attract by social media users because the target of the writers on social media users are under 30 years old. Social media users used colloguial language style aims the message deliver to the readers is simple but meaningful which the slogans colorful fonts and interested illustrations.
