A Semantic Analysis of Metaphor in Selected Song Lyrics Based on Human Feelings

The research aimed at finding the types of metaphor and identifying the metaphor of emotion in the song lyrics. The researcher used the theory of Ulimann to finding the types of metaphor, there are anthropomorphic metaphor, animal metaphor, synesthetic metaphor and from concrete to abstract metaphor, to identifying the metaphor of emotion in the song Iyrics, there are anger, fear, happiness, sadness, love, lust pride, shame and surprise used the theory of Lakoff and Kovecses. The data were analyzed used a descriptive gualitative method. The result showed that there are eighteen data found in the types of metaphor, the data are: four data found in anthropomorphic metaphor, eleven data found in animal metaphor, two data found in synesthetic metaphor and one data found in from concrete to abstract metaphor. While in the metaphor of emotion there are seven data, the data are: one data found in happiness emotion, two data found in sadness emotion, two data found in love emotion and two data found in lust emotion.
