The Implementation of TPR (Total Physical Response) In Learning Vocabularies by Sixth Grade Students at SD Inpres 3 Lere
This research aimed to describe the implementation of Total Physical Response in learning vocabularies at SD inpres 3 Lere. The Research was carried out at the school on 31 until 09 February 2023. The type of this research is descriptive gualitative. The data were collected through (1) observation (2) interview and (3) documentation. All the data were analyzed using descriptive gualitative analysis by (B Miles and Huberman 2014) including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The result of the research showed that the method used in teaching and learning vocabularies at SD Inpres 3 Lere is TPR (Total Physical Response) with Storytelling. Learning activities of TPR Storytelling is the students develop the instruction through Storytelling. The student act or do the physical movements to commands with physical response while learning vocabularies. TPR Storytelling is effective technigue in learning vocabularies, each student could speak in front of the class and created students be confidence. The students were trained every day to speak English expressively by using physical movements. It made it students easily understand the meaning of' the word through TPR. The use of TPR Storytelling can make the class atmosphere enjoy and students become active during the class. Students can learn English with good condition and enthusiastically. In Addition, this method is easy and beneficial for the teacher and school.
